Olympic officials are not kidding around about doping during the London games. GlaxoKlineSmith built a special Anti-Doping Laboratory which is operated by
technicians from King’s College London just to test athletes for banned substances.

In fact, nine athletes have already been kicked out for using banned substances.
The International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) has confirmed that Ukrainian bronze medalist Nataliya Tobias was one of the athletes. Six of the athletes were caught using the new “biological passport” method of testing. This method builds up a profile of each individual athlete over time and stores the records for comparison.

Caffeine used to be banned as a performance-enhancing drug, but now it is allowed which is certainly good news for coffee-loving athletes. Recreational drugs and performance-enhancing drugs are banned.
