PostHeaderIcon 5 Tips To Score a Black Friday Bargain

Article Source: Online Shopping Store

As we quickly approach one of the biggest shopping days of the year, better known as Black Friday, there are some shopping strategies you should be aware of. All 5 of these tips will keep you focused on your goal of saving the most money possible this year. Also, be sure to check our post on the best Black Friday ads and the hottest deals from each. I should also mention that many online stores are now offering special online coupons specifically for Black Friday. The staff here at Rather-Be-Shopping.com has already started to list all Black Friday Coupons for your convenience. Do NOT pay full price this year on your Christmas shopping.

Breakdown the Sales

Once you finish your turkey dinner and subsequent nap, breakdown the Black Friday ads and determine if there are any deals that interest you. The best way to do this is to have your Christmas shopping list handy so you can cross reference the ads with your buying list. Your list should include how much you can afford to spend on each person. Then use that information to see if you can find a Black Friday deal that would bring you under your gift-giving budget for that person. If you can come under your budget by 20% or more, then Black Friday serves as a great opportunity to save money.

Plan Your Route

Once you know what stores you will be visiting, plan your route so you will do as little driving as possible. Always start at the store that provides you with the biggest overall savings.

Go Early

Depending on the sale, plan on getting to your first store at least an hour before it opens. This is especially true at your big box electronics stores like Best Buy. If it’s a store like Sports Authority or Michael’s, you can typically walk in when the store opens and find your items. I did this last year with a highly discounted air hockey table for my kids and had no problems. Expect to stand in a fairly long checkout line though.

Take a Friend

Shopping on Black Friday with a friend provides a huge advantage as one of you can get in line and one of you can do the legwork. Also, it allows you the ability to split up if necessary for the retrieval of specific items. Plus, it’s just more fun than shopping alone in the wee hours of the morning.

Determine Wants Vs. Needs

Remember that it’s only a great Black Friday deal if you actually need the item to complete your Christmas shopping list. Don’t fall prey to impulse purchases unless you have plans to sell the items on eBay for a quick profit.
